Juno

Post by Eve on Fri 15 Aug 2008 - 22:45

Have you seen this movie? I watched it today, and I thought it would make me sad seeing a pregnant belly (as it usually does), but I was fine with that!

It is a wonderful story about a sixteen year old who falls pregnant and decides to give the baby up for adoption.

I did get sad for the fact that my mom gave me up for adoption when she fell pregnant at sixteen. In those days it was taboo to be so young and fall pregnant. Watching the movie made me wonder what my mom went through when she had to make a decision, and how it felt for her to give birth and go home empty handed.

Watch it if you can!

No I only saw the review, we live so far in the gramadoelas that we have to wait for the DVD. But I want to see it for sure.
DH and I talked this morning about a lady in our church with the most beautiful personality but she is over weight so no one is interested in her but she is so good with children and they adore her, some of the women in the church told her she must adopt but she just said she is not willing to adopt or bring a child in this life without a father.

I just think for some people this is still very difficult so much more in smaller towns and if I think how I felt on sixteen and something like this happen to me, I really don't now what I would do (that is if I was still alive after I told my parents) lol

Hi yes, I did see it...

It was great, it made me think if I could ever be a surrogate mom. I think it's such a tough decision to make. But I suppose at different stages in your life you have different priorities...

The only part I really liked about Juno was after the baby was born and the new mom held her, that was such a special moment!

Me - 23
DH - 32
BFP - 18 November 2007 - lost my twins on 5 May 2008 (28 weeks) - placenta tore

Lord I waited to hold my little one on my lap and tell them about you.
But since I never had the chance, Will you please hold them on your lap and tell them about me?
