So finally here's my birth story

My C Section was booked for 25 February but my princess couldn't wait any longer. It all started on Thursday 28 Jan, after lunch I started feeling something like weired period pains. But it just didn't come to my mind that I was in labour or something (according to my Dr I was 34 weeks) till I posted and asked on OPM what were those pains all about. And the ladies told me I could be in labour and I must go to the hospital but as soon as I finished posting ...

My long awaited birth story

So Monday morning I woke up, a bit disappointed that nothing happened through the night…

Like you all know I had to check my BP every day due to high BP. So I got dressed and off to the Dr I am to check my BP. Not expecting it to be high it was 132/91. So I phoned my gynea because she said as soon as it goes over 90 I have to phone her. So she sent me to the labor ward. Got there and my BP was 146/97. She arrived and told me she is going to do an induction ...

On Tuesday the 27th january I went to my gynae for the usual scan and checkup. He said baby is looking healthy and wanted to check the lungs –because I was so anxious, he said he can do the c-section earlier if baby’s lungs are ready. So he did the amnio… with that long needle.. eeekkkk. But that afternoon I called for the results and the lungs weren’t yet ready.

Friday morning, the 30th Jan, I woke up and was in a panic as I was getting mild contractions and didn’t feel baby move much. ...

After the Miscarriage, we decided to keep the pregnancy a secret (until the 12 week mark), meaning I had to cope with the underlining fear of another miscarriage & my hypertension on my own! The 12-week mark came, no problems, halfway and still no problems, blood pressure is still under control.

Yes I am finally the proud new mommy of my first little boy Trent Riley. What can I say except that I am so in love with him and often catch myself just staring at him in a trance-like state.

The birth story itself is very uneventful and almost seems a little too "planned" when compared to the excitement and unpredictability of the birth of both my girls but either way I loved the experience and I am completely infatuated with the little boy that was my gift at the end of it.

We were on our way to work when a taxi cut in front of us and hubby had to swerve to avoid knocking into the back of the taxi. An oil-tanker hit us on my side of the car. I was 33 weeks pregnant.

I went for a check up, everything was okay. Baby wasn’t moving for about 6 hours, but doctor advised that it was normal for a baby to be ‘shell-shocked’ after a traumatic experience like that. If I had to start bleeding or my waters broke, I was to rush to hospital immediately. ...

So here goes: Went for what was supposed to be one of my last gynae appointments at 35 weeks and turned out I was dilating already. My dear gynae had planned a weekend away so she pretty much said – go home – meet me in 6 hours and stop eating! Well at that moment I remember thinking to myself that it was either panic and don’t stop panicking or calm the hell down and do things slowly and methodically! Today is the day that my baby boy arrives. At 5am, we get up and get ready for the hospital. It is such a different experience to going into labour and Cameron’s birth. The birds are chirping and we take a slow drive to the hospital.

no 3 This was the miracle

At around 36 weeks I was planning my stay at the same hospital Milnerton Medi clinic for the 3rd time and was stressing like mad as the previous birth was so horrific.

A bit lengthy, but here goes.

Well after a very long labour, my nunu was born. Started getting labour pains the Saturday night, a week before she was born. Pains started at about 8 and was about 10min apart and only lasted about 30sec so didn't take it too serious and then it all stopped at about 4 in the morning. Same thing happened the Sunday night. Went to the clinic on Monday and the nurse tells me that it's only BH contractions.

The pains came and went for up until Wednesday and Dh decided ...

On Wed, 3 Feb I went to work as usual. I got there and just didn't feel right, could feel my BP was high so went to see the nurse at work and BP was high. Called Dr and he said come in right away. Hubby was stuck in traffic on his way to work so I drove to the hospital on my own. Dr checked and BP was too high. Checked LO's heart rate and heart beat was very erratic. He sent me over to maternity to be admitted right away. They checked my BP and baby's heartbeat every 4 hours. All seemed ...

Ok where to start.

Ended up with a c-sec as she had moved from coming out the "hole" to trying to either get out my hip or appendix scar, so the Dr said c-sec, which I was greatful for as I was so uncomfy I didn't know what to do with myself (but think we must give her a GPS for her 1st birthday)! So after a mad rush when we got home telling everyone and all and not sleeping well at all, the following morning we went to the hospital at 6:00 and op was due for 7:15! So went in slowly ...

Hi ladies

So I have been putting this off because I am scared that I will scare some preggie lady. But I thought about it and figured that they can actually learn from my mistakes.

On Tuesday 22/12/2009 I felt these strong pains, worse than the ones I had a few weeks earlier. And I almost panicked. But the ladies here put my mind at ease. Those that were here will remember that I did not even know how to wake dh up... LOL. Eventually i woke him and said that we need to go to the hospital, ...

Just copied and pasted it from the preggo lounge...took me forever to find!!

I suffered throughout my pregnancy from Sciatica, which is when the baby pinches a nerve in your back and you end up with a spot on your leg that either burns like fire; stabs with pain or just go numb all the time. So come Sunday 15 Feb 2009 I was finally in tears because I was just emotional and my leg was driving me crazy and we set off to hospital to see what could be done.

Got there and the doc put ...

I got my BFP on the 19th of January 2007 after I went off the pill in December.

At around 3am on the 22nd of March, I woke up and knew something was wrong. I was bleeding quite heavily. I woke DH and we just sat there and did'nt know what to do. I got my pregnancy magazines and searched for some advice.(Haha, I can laugh at my foolishness of a first time mum-to-be) We finely decided to go to the ER.

I was admitted with a bladder infection and was informed that my gynae would only see me the ...
