The date has changed!!!!!

Well, life is always full of surprises, isn't it?

We went for the sonar with the birthmother this morning and to make a long story short, baby's due date for the c-section is now 10 November 2009. Apparently doctor made a bit of a miscalculation before and everything is set for the big day to be on the 10th now. - Yay, we get a week off!!!

He was wonderful as always and birthmom and I shared a few jokes before it was time to do the scan. Our beautiful boy is growing at a stunning rate - he weights 1.7 kg and is 45cm tall already!! The doctor is a bit worried about the birthmom (for various reasons) and told us that he expects the baby to be born anytime from 25 October (36 weeks) onwards and by 10 November at the latest. Yikes!!

Sam is beautiful. He waved at us again (and this time dr was in time to take a pic) and he blew bubbles!! We laughed at him so much and birthmom said to me "Your boy is going to be a handful". We are really so excited and it was wonderful to see the birthmom again. If you look carefully at the picture you'll see his left hand lifted just above his forehead on the top left of this picture:



So far the birthmom doesn't want to see or hold the baby after the birth but I suspect that this is going to change and I have no problem with that. My social worker feels that it's better for the birthmom to meet her child, hold him and cuddle him a bit before saying goodbye. I couldn't agree more.

This is wonderful news girlie, so so happy for you, sjoe, he's getting big now hey! Wonderful.. bet you can't wait to meet the little man!

The waiving is soo cute, wish we were that far already. I can't wait!

LOL... jip, it happend, how.. I don't know, but it did and we're soooooo happy about it. Will ask for help then, thanks... Eve and IDT got their BFP's too! Wonderful month, and hoping for MUCH MORE to come!
