Hallo, Hallo I am new to this site

Hi to all the ladies on this site.

My name is MariaE for those who know me from another site. I am new here, but "old" in the infertility world. My dh and I have been trying to have a baby since September 2003. Unfortunately for us, we have had two successful IVF's in falling pregnant, but they where unsuccesful in giving us a live healthy baby.

We lost our first baby girl @17w on 21 Nov 07, apparently due to an incompetent cervix. We lost our second baby girl @24w on the 15 Aug 08, due to a septic miscariage. It has been concluded by Drs that the cause of the miscariages is probably due to a congenital problem I was born with in my urinary tract system. I have had a couple of ops to rectify this problem. We have been given the green light to try again, but obviously with no guarantees, but we do have a greater chance thsi time round.

I am preparing myself physically and psycologically for our third and hopefully succesfull attempt before the end of the year.

YIKES you have been through a LOT! It is amazing to see how many different fertility issues and stories there are out there. I cannot believe how many people take pregnancy and children for granted when it really is such a miracle.

I am glad you have joined us. You sound like you have a very positive approach to all of this and I pray that your next attempt will be 100% successful. I look forward to getting to know you!
