Enya's Birth, What a Blessing!!

Hi Ladies, this is my birth Story.

On the 6th of October 2009, I went in to the gynea for my last check up and to have an amnio done to test for her little lungs. The ultrasound showed that our little angel weighed 3.1kgs. When the doc did the amnio I had very little water, and he struggled a bit, our little baby kicked the needle, so he had to take it out. He got about 3 drops of fluid, but it had to do the job. The results came back with the news that she was ready to greet this world. So with my nerves wrecked, We went home for our last night alone. I was so scared and stressed, crying all the time! I couldnt sleep, and slept about 2 hours the whole night. We watched dvds. So at 3:30 I got up and took a long shower, trying to comfort my nerves. Last check to see everything was packed and at 4.30 we were off to the hospital. We booked in and when we got to our room, I started crying because I had a private room, and the night before my sister went in and decorated the room with pink balloons and posters and a big bouquet of flowers with a teddy bear and a beautiful card. They had an emergency so at 6:30 they came and prepped me for the c-sec. The catheter was horrible and it burned the living crap out of me. My parents came to greet and wish me luck and then off I went to the theatre. My husband went to get dressed (with the xxl being a bit too small) and my sis kept me company while I waited in the waiting room. When I got to the theatre they made me put my feet on a small chair and bent over while the spinal was inserted, ( they had to attempt 2 times). It really didnt hurt at all, but I was so scared that I held the nurse's hand. Then they made me lie down and this warm fuzzy feeling came all the way up my legs, it felt really weird but pleasant. I was so happy that I couldnt feel the catheter any more!! When my husband came in, my bloodpressure dropped, but the doc quickly fixed it. While I was talking to my hubby, I felt a lot of pressure on my upper abdominal, and asked my husband to check what they were doing, because the doc didnt tell me that they were going to begin. When he looked, they're hands were already digging around in my uterus, and out came our little angels head, but to the doc's surprise, she decided she wasnt ready yet and went back in, the doc then had to struggle to get our strong baby girl out, but she was born at 7:18, weighing 2.8kgs and 50cm long. Absolutely beautiful!!! God really blessed us, and I praise Him!!!
