Sharing toys?
Hi
My boys are well aware of each other now and often want the same toy at the same time. I have duplicates of some toys but not all. This morning was ridiculous though. I had given them each a book (and they were gumming it as usual) but Connor kept trying to take his brothers book so I swapped them and no sooner did I do that then he wanted his book back!! Which ever book his brother had that is the one he wanted.
Do I keep trying to keep them happy or do I leave it up to them. ie keep them far enough apart that they can want all they like but are not going to get??

Re: Sharing toys?
Haha mine does the same Kerry! I just leave them to it for now, will teach them about sharing when they are a bit older! They don't seem to get upset about one taking the other's toy at the moment, and it is really cute - one will see the other one has something then crawl all the way over to take it! They even take my book out of my hand and try to take miss D's things - but she isn't having any of that! She talks to them like they understand her perfectly! Very funny!

I say that they must "fight" it out. Fortunately with mine hopefully Wade will not want Erin's doll.

Ag cute Paula
Kerry mine is the same, you will see that now you can put them apart and leave them but as soon as they start moving and sailing and crawling you can't do that. Montinique likes to take her sis toys and then she cry and they both have their hands on the same toy. I do tell Montinique she can't do that - I know she don't really understand but I think she know well enouhg that she is not doing right.
Oh yes and they like so be on the tummies and suck each others dummies and not their own - too cute

Thanks guys I will just leave them to it. I do have trouble with them trying to put each other into thier mouths so I try to keep them apart.
The other day I heard Connor crying and he had fallen over into his brother's lap who had bent over and was busy sucking his head and he was not happy about it.

Hi Kerry - sorry - can't help here! My son grabs anything within his reach but Grace is happy just to sit and watch at this stage!

Re: Sharing toys?
Very sweet and cute indeed Kerry.
My girls are still rather content with anything infront of them although both of them "fancy" different toys.
I also think they need to deal with it themselves for now - still lots of time ahead to teach them about sharing...
