It finally happened...

Post by Guest on Mon 23 Nov 2009 - 11:17

I snapped at a complete stranger in public for the first time in my life!

I was walking along with the babies, minding my own business when this woman saw the twins adn said - predictably - "Trouble!" I then told her that no, actually they are no trouble! - insert stern voice and frown! Shame she was unlucky in being the gazzilionth person to say that! She backtracked and said - "Oh are they good" and was told, "Yes very!".

I was in the opposite situation the otherday I asked a woman at a play gound if her kids were twins and she said no triplets - I hadn't seen the third one with the nanny!! :Shocked

Also we went to the Zoo yesterday and got lots of attention but I had to stare at the the older twin boys we saw there to see if they had anything clever that I might need (they were about 2 yrs).

Hi

He-he, shame. I am sure the lady didn't expect that at all. :Hilarious

Yeah well, sometimes we are just not in the mood to smile politely and nod.

Take care

Gosh - well done for lasting so long - I snapped ages ago at a woman who said "Ooooh twins - shame - double the work!"

Yes - they are lots of work - but I will go through anything for my babies who I almost didn't have!

Don't feel bad at all and well done!!

We can only take so much and the people must stop asking, can't they see it is twins!! I was speechless when a lady ask me this weekend " it is difficult to have twins" - well she caught me on a bad time with no sleeping for a week and a crying baby at a camping site, so yah!!
