Just tell me which one!!!
looks like a boy! When we are out, I invariebly get the "boy and girl?" comment. Now really is it Rachel with her head of hair and small features or Olivia with very little hair and round-ish face??? My mom tells me everyone thought I was a boy till I was 1 and started getting hair and Liv looks a lot like I did as a baby (just prettier
) so maybe it is her? Just tell me and I will start dressing up that one in pink top to bottom! Today they were both dressed in FRILLY green shorts and FLOWERED tops and I still got that!
I mean what weird boy mom will dress up a boy in that kind of get-up??
Actually all I can do is
!!

Re: Just tell me which one!!!
neither! for some stupid reason people always assume babies are boys!!! I get the famous 'Hy's n seuntjie ne?' I mean really like I would dress a girl in cars outfits! My brother was a beautiful baby, had thick black curls with these big blue eyes and people would stop my mom to ask if he was doll! I once made the same mistake about telling a lady how beautiful her little girl was & the meantime it was a little boy - I felt like such a idiot!

Ha ha - we got the same thing - "are they boys or girls?" - so I said
"The one with the pink dummy is a girl and the one with a blue dummy is a boy"
Reply - "ohhhhhhhh - of course!"!

Re: Just tell me which one!!!
P - non of them look like a boy at all, not even near one!!
I wonder why people are like that!!! I dress them the other day in flower dresses and still got asked if they are boys?
I know they don't have much hair but honestly don't think they look like boys!!

Hah melanie! I have decided to make 3 signs to hang from the pram - "Yes" (are they twins?), "no" (are they identical") and "both girls"!! Haha!!

Re: Just tell me which one!!!
I found my self on the other side of the situation when I met a mom at a play ground with 4 kids 3 small two girls dressed identically - so what were the first words out of my mouth....... " yes you got it " are they twins? I think we a programmed to ask even when it is obvious.
Her answer
no triplets!!! how does one cope?? I cannot begin to imagine.

You know that you have a point Kerry, we do state the abvious, it is human nature but it get's a bit much when you cannot walk through a mall in peace.
The first day that I took the boys out I was proud to get all the comments, they were 10 days old, tiny little bundles and I was proud but after two years it is a bit much, although they are still darn cute, hehe

Re: Just tell me which one!!!
So on 'Kerry's note' I advertised my twin pram on gumtree and the next thing this vito (spelling?) pulls up in our driveway - Out pops a dad - a mom and a three year old - leaving THREE 8 month old triplets in their car seats while the dad checked out the pram. I nearly died - all I could do was stand in awe (ok not quite - but you know what I mean)! Imagine that girls! And then the mom mumbles something about having to to a break once a month at least! Once a month!?! eish!

Re: Just tell me which one!!!
Wow Ams - i can imagine your astonishment and standing with your jaw hanging on the ground when you saw the 3 !!
I have now stopped correcting people....... i guess in our society where Altus in 7e Laan wears pink and flowery shirts, i assume the "people out there" thinks its cute to dress a boy in pink, flowery tops and DRESSES!!!
You know what.... we are very "outdoor people" i bought a couple of cargo dungarees for the girls before they were born since i thought its SUPER cute .... but in the end i never dressed them in it as they REALLY look like boys (to me at least) - but i think at a later stage when they have ponytails and earrings and girly faces then i can dress them outdoorish with cargo pants and all!
On the "funny side" , we went for our first trip down to the coast in December last year, so just before we left my hubby came home very excited..... he bought some "board shorts" for the girls for their beach holiday. The one turquoise and the other one yellow/orange..... Its was very nice...
The board shorts ended up being boy's costumes!!
But they look super cool in them with their flowery t-shirts .
And Kerry, dont feel bad about the Ackerman's sale - yesterday i bought some babygrows for the girls to sleep in since the nights are getting a bit cold now. And i bought most of the babygrows at the boys section since the boys b-grows are much nicer. (nice neongreen ones, orange and green yellow pictures etc....) Girls stuff are all pink... and there is enough pink in their cupboards. And since people think they are boys in anyway i guess we can dress them up in other colours than pienk at least!
