Moving twins to their own room?
I need some advice. Bjorn and Carmen will be 6 months soon now. I was thinking of moving them to their own room now.
They each have their own monitor, so we will hear them immediatly. Is it to soon, they are not really sleeping through yet. They wake up once for a 4oclock feed. When did you move your babies to their own rooms?

Hi Elaine
Mine were in their own room from the day we brought them home - we just all slept better that way. Try moving them and see how you find it?

I did it when they were just over 8 months and I must say they did sleep a bit better meaning that our movement didn't bother them so much. I put the fan on for them and also close the door a bit but the monitors is always on.
Try it and see how they are doing. It is hard working waking up for them during the night but it will get better!

Michael was in our room for the 1st 3 weeks and then when Grace came home they both went into their own room. In our family we all sleep better this way!

Re: Moving twins to their own room?
I am going to give it a try. I think I am more lazy getting out of bed going to their room, than anything else. I must just bite the bullet now and do it!
Hopefully they won't wake up their older brother next door.

Don't know if this sounds bad but I felt a weight off my shoulders when they moved - I had them in their own room at 4 months - it was as though I finally had some space for myself again. Its worth getting up for believe me.

I wish mine were in thier own room but they wake so many times now I have moved them back. AHHHH!
but it is kinf od fun having us all together like a holiday. Untill I want to talk to my DH and realise I will wake them if I try.

Re: Moving twins to their own room?
That is our problem to Kerry, Once they fall asleep just after seven no one can talk in the room. And it is a mission to keep my 3year old son to not talk for one minute. And he insists on bathing in our bath and dressing on our bed. My husband says it doesn't feel like his room anymore, but i must say it does feel like a holiday, especially when Tiaan is also in our bed. Sometimes it is all five of us in the bed
