Finally!!!! Sam is OUR baby!!!

Hi Girls!!

Sorry for only posting now, but it was a HECTIC day yesterday.

First of all, thank you so much for all your prayers and support. I just know that you are the reason I was able to go through the past 60 days. May God bless you!!

SAM IS FINALLY AND IRREVOCABLY OUR CHILD!!!

Of course there was drama - it wouldn't be life if there wasn't. But everything is official now and the application for his new birth certificate has been done yesterday. Now it's one more home visit from our wonderful SW and the end of January and then everything's done.

Our SW didn't tell us before, but the BM phoned her last week and asked her how many days were left for her to take Sam back??!!!!

Our SW stayed very calm and said to her: "It shouldn't matter how many days are left. You decided to give this baby a better life 6 months ago and nothing has changed." Apparently the BM kept quiet for a while and then said "You're right. Send Hannah and Sam all my love" and hung up!!! If our SW had told me this last week I would have had a nervous breakdown!!

Well, we celebrated like crazy last night and Sam was smiling from ear to ear - like he understood exactly what was happening.

I am just SO relieved that everything's over and that we can now truly get on with our lives. I am still sending the BM updates and pics every 2 weeks (I send it to the SW). Whether she wants to see them or not, I still send them as I want Sam to know that I did everything in my power to keep her informed. I will send a monthly update until he's a year old and then on a 6-month basis until he's 4 and then on an annual basis. I really don't mind doing this at all as I don't feel threatened by her. She did give me her baby after all, it's the least I can do!!!

I am just SO happy that everything turned out so well and that we have a really positive adoption story to tell. To all of you out there W2A (waiting to adopt) - it CAN and it DOES happen, we are living proof of that!! Just keep on keeping on and stay positive and never, EVER give up on your dream of having a baby!!!

Congratulations. I am SO relieved for you. What wonderful news. You always were a family but at least now you can move forward and let yourself go totally knowing that there is no chance that your angel can be pulled from your life.

OMW Hannah you have had me worried sick - I have been getting on DH's nerves!!!!!! My skin is crawling all over with goosebumps at the thought that the BM actually called the SW!!!!!!! What a wonderful SW you have - she said and did all the right things - you couldn't have asked for more. When you say there was drama - what sort of drama?

I am tearing up so much I can hardly see my screen girl - I feel like I am celebrating along there with you. Please give little Jaedin lots and lots of kisses from us - you have been such a brave strong woman through all of this and Jaedin is truly blessed to have you as his mom!!
