Twin meet-up part 2
So is everyone OK with 20 March?
And how do you feel about having it at our house? (Just thought it may be easier with so many double babies!)

Re: Twin meet-up part 2
Great stuff!
Looking forward to it!
Let us know what we can bring to make it easier for you.
I have many (about 4) nice picnic blankets that we can put outside for the kids to play....
And anything else that comes to mind that we can help you with!

Hey DJG, you are so welcome - it would be great to meet you and you little guys! I think you can really give alot of inspiration to Eve! I have really been thinking and praying so much for her to get physically and mentally prepared for the birth and arrival of her boys and to find the strength to just get everything to fall into place and just finding ways of coping that will work for her.
DJG - would you mind telling us a bit more about you and your little boys?

Re: Twin meet-up part 2
Hi Page
Sorry for the delay in responce, been crazy at work!
Welll I am a PA/Sales & MArketing Assistant by day and a super mamma by night, lol. I have now been a sinle mother for two years (actually longer since the ex never helped anyway) and I must say that it has it's challenges but it is great.
I was 20 when I had Dylan (my oldest) and loved motherhood right away, it just felt right. When Dylan was 10/11 months I fell pregnant with Jason & Grant (the twins). I must say that I was in denial as I knew that I wanted to leave the father and I prayed for it not to be true. At the time I only thought that there was ONE baby in there. I got the fright of my life when I went to the gynae at four months and he casually annoounced that I was having twins.... I made him take a sonar so that I could see TWO babies.
I think that I was in denial that there were two babies in my tummy and I was so afraid yet excited at the same time. Dylan was so tiny and I was afraid of how he would react to having these two siblings "disrupt" his life. Well he surprised me by being the BEST big brother from day one. He was 19 months when they were born and he took his role very seriously. He insisted on feeding them, they were bottle fed, and had to help with EVERYTHING, even poo nappies.
I am so proud of my boys and the bond that they have. As much as they fight, they love each other way more. For example, this morning Jason fell in the garage, Grant and Dylan, who were slightly ahead, hear him cry, go running to him and start smaking the floor telling it that it is naughty.... I mean if that is not standing together and protecting one another in their own special way then I don't know what is.
I am rambling a little here but you asked... hehe!
I had a c-sec with the twins and hated it so much, it was awful compared to the natural I had with Dylan. I battled to bond with the twins and then PND hit with a vengence. I left their father (and yes they are all from the same father) just before Dylan turned two and Jason and Grant were a mere four months. I battled for a long time but once I was on the meds, things started to fall into place and I began to love being a single mother, reaping the rewards of motherhood without the negative vibes!
Well it has been two years now, Dylan will be four soon and Jason and Grant turned two in October. Raising twins is challenging but the most rewarding thing in this world!

Wow 3 kids and twins and a single mom - I think you take the cake. I feel guilty for struggling with my twins.

LOL, thanks Kerry and do not feel guilty, twins are hard work and especially when they are still small...
