Me and DH had this discussion last week. He said that when everything happened - he worried about me - didn't think about himself because he is stronger. He just wanted to make sure that I was okay. Only that night when I was still out after the op, I woke up and found him crying next to my bed. He said that was the time that he had to fight this thing - when I was sleeping so that he could be strong for me.

Mandri, my dh did exactly the same - he dealt with it while i was asleep... but when i woke from the op, he came to me, just after he held our son for us because i couldn't hold him... he told me that it was so difficult and he wept in my arms..... i was still coming off of the anesthetics... so it was a blurred memmory...

I would have battled if I had to face it alone... it was there in the hospital that i relized how much he really loves me... he would be there whenever i opened my eyes and he would wait for me to fall asleep before he left my side.

so glad your dh was there for you too...

Someone once said, in your loss, dont forget about those you still DO have.we are blessed to have them

So true - he didn't leave my bed once that night. I felt so sorry for him when he had to sleep on that uncomfortable chair - BUT I know that he would not have done it any differently. He wanted to be there no matter what.

In times like that we really do realize how much they love us - our love for each other since has been so amazing!

Wow, this is a beautiful poem...

Isn't it strange that in the midst of trials, pain & suffering we can still grow and our love for each other grows too??

Thanks Mpums - the irony is that it was really raining that night i had to go in for the op... thus the sentance "You took my hand when it began to rain" ... the funeral day it was also raining, and the day i found out i was preg it also rained. Now when i listen to the rain, i think of my little angel, and it brings me peace- oh, the memories... its hard but little easier when you remember not being totally alone.

Mandri & Danni - it sure does draw two people closer when they share the same loss..

how is everyone feeling today? i hope well, and i hope i haven't dampened your spirits with this.. i gave it to dh to read last night but he didnt say anything..

I think so too he didn't know what to say but I know for sure that one day he will talk about it.
I'm fine and everytime when someone announces her BFP I feel strong and positive that one day I will be in the same shoes as they are.
