Nanny issues
Hey, dont want to make this a negative posting - so just wanted to share with you that my nanny gave notice this morning...
She has been working for me since 1 April last year which was 2 weeks before the twins were born . So has been great with them and i have really learnt a lot from her especially when the babies were still very small.
Her main tasks were taking care of the kids, and secondly to do the house cleaning. To make it a bit easier on her (and obviously for other reasons as well) i arranged right from the beginnning that my mom and MIL each spend one day a week at my house to spend time with the kids.
So this gave her at least those 2 days to spend a bit more time on the house cleaning etc.
As you know this is easy to do when the kids are still small. Now that they dont sleep so much anymore and are pretty mobile on all fours its getting more and more difficult. So it is just getting a bit too much for her (and there were some other small issues which got added to this which is personal from her side and also from my side), and this morning when she came in we had a looong chat and she said that she thinks its better for her to resign and give me 3 month notice. So she will work for the next 3 months still so that i can find the time to get someone else.
I feel very sorry for her, she has been an excellent childminder.... but on the long run i think its better for me. (i am just too much of a control freak in the way i want things done, and i had to bite my tongue many times because things frustrated me just because she did it her way and not my way)
So if anyone knows of someone who will be having a baby or twins - i can definitely recommend her . She has twins of her own as well, and knows how to cope with 2 babies crying at the same time. she has done all the nanny courses and first aid.
And if you know of someone /somewhere where i can start looking for a new nanny angel to look after my girls - please let me know as well.

Hi Page
I will ask mine if you like, she has always looked after twins so she might know of someone.
That photo is the cutest!

Re: Nanny issues
Shame Page - at least she has given you 3 months notice. It' my nightmare - the thought of our nanny resigning. Also very important for you to find the right person for your two little girls. Good luck in your search.

You can try and contact SAMBA, they may be able to recommend nannies that specialize in twins
