My story after 9 months...
My precious baby boy is now 9 months old and I think it is about time to post his story...
DH and I met in beginning 2005 and he was Divorced with 2 beautiful boys. He had a vasectomy after the second son was born. This vasectomy was 5 years old when I met him. We just clicked and got married and had his vasectomy revered 4 weeks after the wedding. A very tough thing to do and I am not going to go into detail. Anyway, was told its a success and we had his tests done...
Came back at 30% motility, 1% Morphology. That was TERRIBLE and my X-GYNIE TOLD US... "My dear, you should find someone that looks like your husband, cause this will never happen!!" I was furious and changed Gynies.
We did 8 cycles of times intercourse with scans...NOTHING
We did 6 cycles of Clomid and IUI... NOTHING
We were referred to a FS 300KM away and started IVF.
We did IVF ICSI and got 8 eggies and only 1 made it...
That one turned into a STUNNING embie and we transferred.
Went for my blood test and the count was 30, i was told BFN, but AF was a weeks late and tehn heavy, so Chemical it was...
We then sat down for a long time and spoke. The chances were less than 1% with teh Morphology and on paper it is IMPOSSIBLE to fall pregnant. We were in SERIOUS debt and couldn't go on. We then opted for Donor.
We did 2 x Donor Sperm Cycles and both BFN.
We then decided to give it a rest and to pay back all our debt and loans we took on trying to conceive.
Hubby and I then went to the local CMR and we took in 2 x beautiful boys into foster care. I honestly thought that would be the only way I could ever have a baby, is by fostering and trying to adopt. (As I Couldn't adopt as the lists were all closed!)
Raiden and Segan came into our lives and it was amazing! HECTIC to be a mother to a 2 and 4 year old, but it was amazing and I feel blessed to have had them in my life and to have made a difference in theirs. Long story short, we hung up our OPK's and HPT's and we fell pregnant in September 2008. It was teh best day of my life.
I had a plain sailing pregnancy and Jayden was born on 24 April 2009.
