Graco pram

Post by DJMommy on Thu Feb 18, 2010 7:26 pm

Are there different types of graco twin prams? Because I have been offered a graco twin pram and was told it is a lightweight pram and can fold wquite small, but reading previous posts on twin strollers, it seems that the duo rider is quite heavy and one battles to get the pram through the door etc and it is heavy?

Hi Eve

I have the Graco DuoSport whcih I think is an older version of the Duorider. I bought it 2nd hand for R600 so I can't really complain. It seem to fit through most doors except very narrow ones, although we haven't had too many issues as we just usually use it for going to shopping centres etc. It's not that easy to fold up - takes a bit of brute force. The seats reclinen individually but seem to me to be at a bit of an odd angle. I always end up putting a rolled up blanket under the babies legs. I don't really have anything to compare it to. I did look at the DuoRider in the shop and it looks very similar - just an older model I think.

I have the DuoRider as well as Maclaren. The Graco is heavy and it folds double so it is quite big. I find that I struggle to get it through any door. I use it mostly to take the girls out for walks. You will be able to use it but it isn't as good as the Maclaren.

I had the maclaren... in fact I still have it Eve and would be willing to pass it along to you if you like. This was great for the beggining days, as soon as the boys could sit though I moved to a stroller, much easier

:think Then I wonder if she got the name wrong? Because she said it was light, you could use one hand and it would fold up into my small boot.

Well, I am going to her next week so will have a look.
Thanks for the offer DJG, that is very kind of you! Let me see what this pram is next week, otherwise I will give you a shout. Where are you situated?

I am not sure if I can make the 20th March. But maybe I could meet you next week at your work and have a look at the pram there? Where in Bedfordview do you work?

If you are able to meet us this Sat it would be awesome! We are meeting at the spur in crowthorne - great for the kiddies!

I work just off Nicol Road Eve... not sure how close that is to you?
What time are you meeting on Saturday? And where is Crowthorne? Midrand side if I am not mistaken?

The boys have swimming in Randburg from 10-11, which would mean that I would only get there at 12 or half past, think you would still be there?
I would love to meet some of you ladies, and added bonus to meet other twin mommies Smile
