That is interesting Paula - I always wondered how they worked. My gynae was not keen to give too many doses of steroids but after consulting the Paed he gave one last dose the day before delivery. He was going to deliver on the Fri but the Paed said to give more steroids and deliver on the Sat. Obviously the benefits outweighed the risks. I am convinced it is because of the steroids that my babies had no complications.

Was reading this post and find it very interesting... Evie, I would rather go over the weekend for a quick "check-up" just to make sure, the 30th is still too long away!

To give you more peace of mind... my friend gave birth to 2 boys @ 37 weeks and they weighed 2.6 and 2.7... so maybe you're that lucky!!!

I had steroid injections two days prior to giving birth just to make sure. The boys were born at 35 weeks and only spent four hours in NNICU for observation. Jason was discharged at the same time as me but I left him at the hospital with Grant for two days. They were 2.1 and 1.8 at birth.

I had them at Morningside, same place as Dylan I enjoyed it there, the nursing staff were great with my little treasures, ok so there was one sour grape, but that you are going to get where ever you go

So sorry you going thru this Eve. The last days are the hardest. I also had the worst Braxton Hicks ever. Not sure how many times i went to hospital thinking i was about to give give birth.

My gals didn't even go to NICU and were born at 36 weeks & we stayed the normal 2 nights at hospital. I was given steroids 24 hours before delivery.

I was advised to stop working at 32 weeks, so all the best. Hoping those babies will wait till the end.
