Feeding

Post by TarrynT on Fri 19 Mar 2010 - 13:47

Just a question. When baby is very small and you breastfeeding/bottlefeeding and they fall asleep while feeding, do you wake them to burp or just leave to sleep?
If u say wake them to burp, is it then a hassle to get back to sleep?

Rather burp them cause otherwise if the wind get stuck they will just wake up quicker.

I think that you have to burp them otherwise they will wake once the wind starts troubling them and then you will have an issue to get them back to sleep.

At around three weeks I let the boys start sleeping on their tummies, then I never burped as the pressure on the tummy helped get it out. I think that all kids are so different though
