Angelcare movement & sound monitor

Hi Ladies,

For those that use the movement monitor do u put the sensor mat under the mattress?? I am a bit worried cos my mattress is very thick? Will this matter?
Also in the beginning baby will be sleeping in a bassinet (like a moses basket thingy) in our room. Could I use it in there also??

yes under the mattress, they are really sensitive. The breathing pad should be on a hard, firm surface. I used the breathing monitor in the beginning with D in his moses basket/carry cot. it has a hardboard bottom & I placed it under the little mattress.

As long as you have a firm bottom it will be fine - you can easily check it by putting it on and leave it, so that the alarm goes off after 20 seconds.
