Re: xxxx
Thank you for posting such an emotional story. I hope you keep us updated on your journey - how lucky your children are to have found you ... how lucky you all are.

Re: xxxx
Hi P
Yes, I have definitely considered fostering - and lie at wake at night staring at the ceiling wondering how I can "argue my DH to agree to this" The one thing that holds me back, is I know how I am. I am not sure that once I have taken that child in, and loved him/her and cared for him/her and then the parents come-a-knocking to reclaim their child - how I would be strong enough to give that child back.
Knowing me, I would do something stupid like kill the parents/try to bribe them/or leave the country with the child - see I am not even fostering, and I am already imaging the worst case scenario and how I am going to pull a runner. I can see a social worker reading this and putting me on to a "let's-not-put-her-on-any-list" list.
It really is such an emotive subject, I am not sure how people think with the logical side of their brains and not the irrational emotive side when faced with these things.
Right now I am holding out and will broach the subject again when a few of the things that we have going on, subside a bit.
