My parents.

My dad works at the grootvlei mines, they haven't been paid since January, according to the news they were supposed to start work again today, but as always, nothing, as there is no power, seeing that Aurora (the company that owns the mines) owes Eskom R18 million for electricity. They also have a R14 million Tax fraud case against them, as they subtract the UIF portions from each workers salary every month, but failed to actually pay this to SARS, hence they can't claim UIF as there is none. We are helping where we can but it's not much, my mom still works, but she earns the bare minimum, my sister still stays with them and has no expenses, so she is basically carrying the financial burden at the moment (with her first job, she is 19)

This is really getting to me and my dad is very emotional and stressed (I have NEVER seen him like this)

He is however going for an interview tomorrow, but it's in Marblehall, so he will have to stay there during the week and only come home over weekends, which is such a crap situation, but yes, atleast it's money.

I am really torn up about this, and I need as much prayers as possible for them, please...

Oh that is not good! I pray that he will find a job very soon and that everything will work out for them.

Thank you so much ladies... I am very emotional about all this and with my hormonal imbalance at the moment I must say I am a bit "off" with everything going on. I am spending the weekend with them as hubby is going to Mighty Men, looking forward to it...

Praying for your family for a complete break through in this crisis. Our God is forever faithful, He will see you and your family through this.

Monz, my mom is in a similar situation (not sure each month if she is going to be paid or have a job the next month) but thankfully so far we haven't had to help her but each month it's a question of is she going to need our help this month. So I have some understanding and will keep you and your family in my prayers.

Monz my parents was in the same position in 1996 - which was why I could'nt go study what I wanted to. They lost everything - but they made it through.
