Limays birth story!!

Well, here goes my story, never thought I would be able to post this,...

I was 36 weeks preggers and begin to swell up like a whale... even in my eyelids... went to my GP and he said I have a bit of urine in my wee and that I have a bladder infection, so he gave me water pills (A BIG NO-NO to someone who's preggers - apparently the baby stops growing when you drink this!!) and he gave me anti-biotics for 5 days.

Sooo the week thereafter, on the 29th of April (c-sec was actually schedules for 39weeks on the 14th of May) I went to see my gynae for my 37 week check up and she took my urine sample again, was +3 which is BAD and my BP was very high. So she said she must admit me into hospital for 24hour observation. So there I go...

I was lying in bed and told DH to go back to the farm cause I will only know tomorrow what is going on... well, and hour and a half later, doc came running into the room saying that they must do an emergency c-sec cause of pre-clamcy baby is not breathing like she should anymore.. I was sooo scared, they "prepared" me for theatre in half an hour... and then I had to phone dh to pack something for me and baby cause our bags wasn't even packed for hospital yet.

He drove very fast, and eventually, when the "narkotiseer" said we MUST go and can't wait for dh anymore, he came running into the room.... and then had to put on his "theatre clothes" as well, it was sooo tight... lol... but the gynae said it's something to look at... lol

They gave me the epidural... or was it spinal (these two confuse me a lot) but anyways, doc told me that soon I will hear baby cry, wasn't even 3 minutes and she said, she's out, but no sound... shamepies, she was stuck, with the umbilical cord around her little neck and her shoulder was stuck, so the 3 of them (felt like they litterly jumped on me to get her out) and then she came out... was magical, although I was sooo overwhelmed, didn't feel real at all... dh was standing with the pediatrician and little Limay go a APGAR score of 9/10 and 10/10, so she was just perfect, 47cm and weighing 2.65kg... @ 17h33, tiny but sooo cute!!

Then I started shaking like mad, and it felt like someone is busy ripping out my brains... I told the "narkotiseer" and dh took baby from me and he injected something into my drip and I was gone for 20 minutes.. woke up in the room... all happend sooo fast that there was a time gap I really can't remember anything about!!!

She is sooo cuters, she latched very well, and sleep and drink well, every 4-5 hours. She never cries... such a cute baby!

Doc came to me the following morning saying that the pre-clamcy was worst than they thought... I had "vog" in my "buik" and that is NOT GOOD!!!! My BP gave me tons of problems, didn't go down and I had to stay for several more nights... that morning doc eventually send me home on one condition to drink my BP pills, Limay had "geelsug".... aai, she was under the lights for a day and then the following moring, on Tuesday we eventually were allowed to go home... she was weighing 2.7kg at discharge... so doing really well!

Me and dh is sooo in love and love our angel miracle baby sooo much, there is NO way of explaining this to anyone.. ever!

ah Dooi, i am so pleased that all turned out perfect, you have such a beautiful baby girl. you can be so proud, you were so brave as well.

thank you for sharing your story, i can imagine what a shock you got, when they said they have to do the c-sec straight away. but so glad that all is well.

i cant wait to see more pics..

p.s. i was so chuffed to hear that she was born on my birthday, i will remember her every year on that day
