Re: Share your story
Thanks for the warm welcome!
I have two precious girls :Angel 1: (It's my youngest daughters feet I'm holding in the pic) and have been very blessed to have no problems conceiving, also had great pregnancies. I have always said that I could have 10 kids but will never be able to raise all of them. I loved being pregnant and it was quite heartbreaking when I realized after the birth of my second daughter that I would have to say goodbye to the idea of going through the experience again, because we only want two children. And so I decided to become a surrogate. It took some time to convince my hubby, but he has been very supportive of my decision. I contacted a lady named Bev from a website I found on the net and soon it was arranged that we meet with the IP's (Intended Parents) my heart went out to this couple, and then there was no turning back. I cannot imagine all they have been through and I when I think of the joy my gals bring into my life, I thought: How could anybody not want to do this?"
I must admit, the most difficult part was trying to explain my decision to friends and family, some were a little
shocked at first, but most reactions turned out to be positive. They all just seemed concerned about the fact that I would have to give up "my" baby. I explained that the baby is the bun and I'm just the oven and that I would not be giving up my child. The baby in our case was conceived by the mother’s egg and the father’s sperm, so it will have no part of me.
So far it has been very exciting, obviously I am a little stressed about the outcome, the ET went very well and one beautiful 5 day old Embryo was put back. We're all praying for a BFP!

Re: Share your story
To answer Thully's question: I have given it some thought and I don't think I will persue another pregnancy after this, so really hoping to help this couple have their baby
A very interesting thing I have been told is that there are more surrogates than Intended Parents, I was quite surprised. So it seems there are plenty of us going around
