To my unborn son - written on the day of our scan 13 May 2010

We went for our scan on this specific day
and we were so excited to see you as it’s been a long wait.
The doctor looked and said to me,
that she wanted to speak to both your daddy and me.
My heart just sank as I knew this meant
that all was not well with my baby then.

They soon told us about what lies ahead
and mommy cried a lot, because she was so scared.
It took me a while, but I soon came to know
that you are not gone, you are here with us still.
So as from that moment, I then decide
that whatever may come, the lord will be our guide.

You are my little boy from the day you were conceived
and now it only means that you might be a boy with special needs.
The outcome of it all will not make us love you any less,
because the lord chose me to mother you and for that I feel blessed.

My dear little boy, there is not much more mommy can say
just know that you are loved in every special way.
For now, just be strong and pray together with daddy and me
that the lord will bless you with the life you were meant to lead.

Kaylin is lucky to have you for a mom. 'a woman is lyk a teabag only when she is in hot water u realise how strong she is.
