First time mom needs some advice?
i had no idea how demanding being a mom would be. since my husband works and i don't, i get up with her at night and take care of her all day, basically from 10pm at night until he gets home at 4pm the next day. my mother has passed away and all my friends work so the only help i get are the 6 hours my husband is home and awake during the evening. i feel like im a bad mom because the constant crying, feeding, changing and cleaning has started to get to me. i feel so frustrated and exhausted that sometimes i just look at her and cry. i broke down at about 3am this morning when she just would not go to sleep, waking my husband up. his response was basically, new moms are tired and exhausted so stop crying.
have any other moms gone through something similar?

Re: First time mom needs some advice?
Hi there. As horrible as it is to go through all this, it is completely normal. How old is your baby girl?
I think that hubby should help by perhaps giving you extra time alone on the weekend while you sleep and he can take your daughter out. Try make tim for you in between her feeds, a hot bath with bubbles and candles can recharge you.

Re: First time mom needs some advice?
I take it your LG is still very young & I remember how hard & exhausting those first few months can be, specially with a bad sleeper or colic baby. some words of encouragement it does get better - I promise! was there once & on my way there again! I think your DH should help you more during the evenings, there is nothing worse than sleep deprivation & in the its in all of your best interest if helps you out more! watch out for signs of pre natal depression - also had that & some of the ladies on the forum can relate!

having a new baby is so tough. but a mild antidepressant helps alot. also sleeping during the day helps too.

I am right there with you! My twin boys are almost 2 weeks old now and I dont sleep. The crying at night is tiring and yes, I end up crying with them. Everyone says it gets easier after 6 weeks.

Lots of hugs to you!
I was there a few short months ago and you feel like you can't do things right, you baby doesn't love you, you are so tired you want to fall over! Yup been there tears and all.
Have you been prescribed Eglanol? It really does help!

I know exactly how you feel. Reading your post is like I wrote it myself a couple months ago.
I was in exactly the same situation and I promise it does get better. Maybe see your Dr and get some form of help (anti deppresents) it was the BEST thing I could have done for myself, my marriage and my baby
