I have seen one ultrasound of triplets - I was privileged to diagnose trips at 12 weeks for a patient years ago - spontaneous at that, and it was magical!

BTW Edgars has really lovely prem thingies too.

Hi Chris, i saw your comment about the breastpump.
There is just one double breaspump and thats the Medela.

You can either hire it or buy it - cost is the same.
I hired mine from a breast feeding specialist/doctor for 3 months and the cost was R1 400, and if you look at the prices nowadays at baby cities/dischem, the cost is also around R1 400.
It works very very well and takes you 10 minutes. The BF specialist told me to not spend longer than 10 minutes pumping. Depending on how much milk you have you will be able to pump more than enough milk in 10 minutes.

Good luck on your journey!

Thank Page for the info on the Medela Pump.

Update so far, On thursday evening when I got home I had heavy bleeding and dh and I rushed to casualty. I was admitted for 2 nights, am home now on strict bedrest.

The sac on the one baby has detached a bit from the placenta, dr said it can repair itself (more likely case, praying it will be), if baby does mc, dr cannot say what risk is to other babies, it could pull 1 or both out, or just itself, but we are hoping that it heals and the triplets stay fine.

We're going in tomorrow for a scan to make sure its still ok for now.

Hopefully bleeding stops, it is not heavy now, hoping bedrest this weeks helps.

Please keep us all in your thoughts and prayers.

Thanks ladies!!

Oh I am sorry that must be so stressful please take it easy. I am ont sure if the Dr explained but even sitting up does not count as bed rest you have to lie down the whole time.

holding thumbs that all 3 babies continue to grow well.

Hi ladies, thanks for your concerns.

Babies hearts are all still beating, dr can still see some othe rblood that needs to come out, but he says it looks like we are winning, justs need to take it easy and have strict bedrest for this week (hopefully not next week too), but we're getting there, really hope I dont have any more scares but the sister warned me on Monday that I must prepare myself to be in and out of the hospital, so I suppose I will really be taking it easy, you know like some people say "You're not sick, you're pregnant" ::Embarassed: I might just be one of those now. I actually never realised how much of a higher risk a multiple pregnancy is until last weekend, and that was me not doing anything!

a multiple pregnancy is so differnt to a singleton pregnancy and I think with each aded baby you multiply not add. But please take it carefully and I hope all goes well from now.

Also keep an eye out for urinary tract infections they are common in pregnancy and really cause problems but are so easy to treat.

Sjoe that is good news! Having had a singleton and a twin pregnancy, I always say that being pregnant with multiples is as different from being pregnant with one baby, as being pregnant is to not being pregnant at all! And trips even more so I would imagine! I had a lot of heart problems as well starting form 16 weeks, as well as thyroid problems ect ect that I never had with miss D, but in the end, all went back to normal after the delivery.

Good luck, hope you don't have any more scares!

Oh you know, I also had a bleed at 13 weeks - and was told is could also be due to the extreme congestion due to the multiple babies, it never happened again though.
