The birth of Rourke Anakin
Well i have to admit, despite having such a hard pregnancy, by the time that i had to go into hospital on the 12th of July i had so many mixed emotions- i wanted him out but at the same time i wasnt ready to do it
Got to the hospital at 11, booked in, put on the monitors, anethatist came in and said oh you in labour- so i said um no, im having BH and they must be worse than normal because im really nervous
well app i was in early labour LOL so Rourke was born on the day he chose too
wheeled into theatre, have to admit that the spinal hurt like hell for me- and i hate needles at the best of times
My gynae held my hands and put my head on his chest while they gave me the spinal- i said that i hoped he could still operate cos i am sure that i broke his hands
My BP spiked very high as i was lying there- it went to 170/110, and i started getting the shakes, so badly my whole upper body was wracked with shakes so badly that i have damaged teh vein where the needle end was, but oh well
The worst part for me was the feeling of not feeling my legs, app they were so lame that they had to strap me to the table- i was in tears
gynae started cutting, he then said that we needed to suction out fluid as although he knew that i was carrying alot he didnt realise just how much it was, so after suctioning i had to give a big push as Rourke was a bit stuck- the paed told us he would probably be a bit blue and take a min or two to cry- he didnt he came out roaring to the world- looking so precious and just like his daddy
he got a 10/10 for his first apgar test and 10/10 at the one 5 min later again- app thats almost unheard of with a caeser baby
he was put on my chest after having cuddles with daddy and we where wheeled to the recovery room where we spent 15 min then back to our room
I love my little man so much and its so amzing just how quickly you cant imagine your life without them
