Diaper Champ or Angelcare Diaper bin

Post by PinkPanther on Mon 26 Jul 2010 - 9:09

Morning Ladies,

I know this question was asked not so long ago but which one is the best?
I looked over the weekend and saw that the refills for the Angelcare are like R100 Oh my
I really like the look of the Diaper Champ. However if the Angelcare is the better one then I am definitely going to go with that one!

Also how long do the bags last before you have to refill?

I would also like to start stocking up on nappies (Reggies this weekend had Pampers New baby Jumbo Pack for R99), but I wasn't sure how many to buy? How many nappies do you go through in a day? And roughly for how long are they in the New Baby? Also do I buy / stock up on both Pampers and Huggies? huh

All very confusing! :Embarassed

I got some Huggies nappies, and once again was greatly dissapointed, they leak and I have to change Zhane's clothes with every nappy I change.
Regarding on how many nappies you need to buy, those packs with the 44 nappies last me approx. a week (newborn), hope that helps
And yes, although the Angel Care refill cartridges is a bit expensive, I still love my Angel Care nappy bin

ALso have the diaper champ - I use normal swing bin bags. I have the regular size bin and I change it every second - sometimes third day, so if you went for that size you would probably on change it every 4th or 5th day

Regarding nappies I am a Pampers mom and stocked up on Pampers only.

Baby City will exchane any nappies that they stock so if you buy too many of one size you can just exchange them.

Kayla was a formula fed baby and we changed her nappy about 5 times per day and maybe once or twice at night...

I did not buy a fancy bin just a plain wooden one that I painted and use P 'n P bags in it, change it every second day. Poo nappies go into our big outside bin straight way

Now I know why my monthly budget was through the roof Smile

we used to go through 8 - 10 nappies PER BABY per day (they used to like to surprise us with a second poo just when the clean nappy was on!)

The huggies was also not great for Q, so we went with Pampers. Luckily we only bought one pack of huggies before he came, and we stocked up on the pampers,

newborn we had about x5 packs,
number two's we bought about x6 packs and number 3's about 4 packs and we bougth 6 more the other day when they were on special. It's very difficult to tell how many nappies they'll go through, but keep the slips when you buy them, cause you can always go back and change to a bigger size

xx

I am a huggies mommy & yes 44 nappies last about a week, 6-8nappies (formula) & anything up to 12(breast babies - more poo) so you'll use abut 8-10 packs #1 depending on the size of your lo & about 2large packs #2.

I have the angle care bin & love it!! anyone thought soy nappies are bad, well HA nappies are worse!! lol
