Nappy Advise

Post by kajol on Wed 28 Jul 2010 - 9:03

Hi ladies,

who knew that buying nappies could get so complicated :Unsure
ok, so some ladies gave me advise wrt nappies and how many nappies go through per day. i think most of the ladies advised that a pack of 44 newborn nappies should last us roughly a week. now, what i want to know is a rough estimate of how long (till how many weeks old) these babas use newborns, and what is the next size that they will go on to?

then, when packing bags for hospital, i would think that u should pack a seperate bag for baba and a seperate bag for urself? what types of bags did u use?

thanks for any advise. flowerhi

Nappy sizes it depends on the weight of you LO. The packs are numbered and you start at nr 1 wich is for new borns and then work your way up. But all depends on your babies weight for how long they will stay on a spesific nr for instance my LO is on nr 1 of pampers premium care and they are way too big for him. So think he will probably be on the nr 1's for a while.

Bags for hospital just make sure you pack early enough hey and not like me ending up with no bags at hospital :Embarassed but I also had 2 bags one for me and on for LO
Hope that helps

Yup nappies are interesting but they overlap on weights, so no.1's will be used for a few weeks to a couple of months depending on baby shape and size. No.2's overlap no.1's by alot so dont' get too many no.1 packs!

Bags, yup 1 for mom and 1 for baby! Just a baby bag for LO and a usual bag for you!

i go through a pack of 44 in about 5 days
Rourke's shape it seems that the huggies newborn fit him better- the pampers newborn and premium he pees himself sopping wet, the huggies are just a bit too long so i fold them over a bit

Use about 7-8 nappies a day. Prefer the pampers at the moment as it stays drier against her skin for longer.she cries as soon as the huggies r wet.we in the overlap stage as the no 1 still fits, but the no 2 is better fit.

A pack of 44 lasts about a week, I use between 6 & 8 nappies per day. Both boys birth weights are average Wihan weighed 3.49 & D was 3.55 & D was one #1's for 8weeks, #2's a month if it even was that long then 3's which he stayed on for a while, so I guess it will be the same with Wihan. I agree with Kandis, D used to wee through pamper & I switched to Huggies Gold a few days after his birth, I am still a huggies mommy & Wihan is starting to stretch to 5hours between feeds & when I change him the nappy is heavy & full but his clothes are dry!xx
