This message is for Bella786, or anyone that can get me in contact with her, I know this forum is for those that are battling with infertility or trying to conceive. I am a gay married male, I have been married for three years now. Last year my husband and I tried to adopt, we either told that the the books for same sex couples were closed and that we have to check back in two years time or we were told that we will not be considered because of our sexual orientation.

Eloise at Procare told me that my best option would be to find a BM who is wanting to give her baby up for adoption, and who is willing to give the baby to us. We managed to find a BM, a 15 year old girl who was unable to care for her child. Unfortunately she gave birth in a state hospital and was forced to bond with the child.

A year later we have an older more muture lady, who has two kids of her own already who wants us to adopt her baby. I would like to find out by Bella786, which SW she used or if she used a Major Welfare Society. I too live in Cape Town, in the Northern Suburbs, and I would like to know how she managed to do it successfully.

P.S I was contacted last year by Jenny who runs the website www.adoptree.co.za she asked me if she could publish my email that I sent out to various childrens homes last year after the BM decided to keep her baby.
