Stimulation at home

Post by TarrynT on Tue 21 Sep 2010 - 9:10

Ok so im only back at work in January so ill be home with Rach for a few more months. My question is what can we "do" during the day? She does playgym for like 10 mins (but gets bored quickly), we do tummy time, I read to her, we talk and all that but what else can we do?

I used to do playgym as well, we used to go for alot of walks in the pram around our complex. I used to play childrens music CD's for her and act out the motions... Look through your baby magazines and show her faces of other babies and children. This is apparently very good to train the brain to focus...

And sometimes just hold her close and sing to her... Hannah loved that too...

She is still small so dont over stimulate the brain... just "be" with her...

Use it. dont use it...

I was going to say this is a hard stage as she is still small so will get bored soon. I think 5 min twice a day tummy time and some play gym and music and a walk outside. then put her in a sling or pouch adn carry her with you.

also I have heard baby massage is nice for them.

btu otherwise she should still be sleeping quite a bit.

I used to walk a lot with the boys and they were happy with mild stimulation and one thing could keep them busy for a long time.
