Michael & Grace - 18 month update

So my "babies" are no longer "babies" any more but fully fledged toddlers! We had our 18 month paed appointment today which went well. Michael weighs 11.5kg and is 82cm tall (very very average for his age) and Grace is 78 cm and 9kg (still a tiny little thing). They are both following their growth curves so the Dr is happy. He says he doesn't need to see them for any more checkups unless we pick up specific problems.

My son is VERY active and is becoming quite adventurous. Yesterday he was discovered sitting on the compactum covered in bum cream (had managed to climb out of his cot and pull himself onto the compactum!) He has also climbed onto the dining room table (via the chairs) so now there is a rope around the chairs keeping them under the table! Neither are really talking much, but definitely can follow instructions. Both doing lots of babbling whcih will hopefully become words soon. They're starting to become quite chummy and aften laugh and play together which is delightful to watch. They chase one another around and hide in the lounge curtains squealing in delight! We also had 4 molars each coming through all at once which wasn't too pleasant, but through it all they have both continued to sleep well. Michael absolutely never wakes up during the night, and Grace occasionally cries in the early hours, but goes back to sleep immediately.

This stage is definitely the most challenging but also the most rewarding thus far and we are so enjoying our precious miracles!

Ah, I know it must be hard work but in my head it seems so cute for them to be running around!! (I will probably regret saying that later LOL!!) Glad the appointment went well!

Our 15-month appt is on Wed and I can't wait to see where they are on the charts, etc.
