Sorry B-Bat, I hope things turn out better than you expect.

Have you thought of applying for something similar to what you studied??

I mean I studied Biochem and then discovered I hated being in the lab. So I found a position that required me to still work in the lab but at the same time I got to learn epi skills. and 4 years later I moved into a purely epi position.

maybe you need a 5 year plan to get to where you want to be. Also some places like banks and such use any qualification as an indication that you can learn and stay with things and will employ you for something else entirely.

Thanks Kerry.

The thing is I really enjoy the computer hardware but not the system side of things so give me a PC to put together and I enjoy it but I'm finding if I have to do it everyday I just get bored with it.

And the problem at the moment is I'm not working in IT other than when the work PC gives an issue but I am actually a receptionist for a doctors rooms and the issue there is things have changed alot and now that the one of the doctors is pregnant more and more responsibility is being put on me and yet I don't get more salary and now I'm even working more and more hours plus I've been there 6 months and I still don't have a contract or a job desciption, plus little things have changed recently which are less and less like the type of situation I would like to work in.

If I had my way I would love to go study to become a paramedic as even though it is hectic and shift work I like the on the go side of it and the fact that no matter how long you've been on the road for it's still so much that you have never experienced and dealt with. I'm looking to go on the road for a few shifts maybe during December just to see if I can still handle it and see if I will still be suited to it and then take it from there but also then got to look at the costs etc of studying it. We'll see what happens in the next little while around this as it will be a difficult change for hubby and I especially from a shifts point of view.
