pls pray urgently

Pls pray urgently for my FIL and BIL especially as well as other friends and extended family that work at standard bank. They have been talking about retrentchments across the company and should hear today who is being retrenched.

This is particularly scarey for hubby and I as FIL is helping us pay the house and it's partly in his name so we have staff rates on the bond.
If he looses his job we are not sure what rate we'll get as well as if we will be able to pay the bond as I only get R2000 a month on a good month and my boss doesn't seem to keen to give me more hours.

Pls also pray that I would be able to find another job that pays much better but also has good hours as I really don't want to have to suddenly work till 7pm everyday.

oh hun i was retrecnh from standard bank almost 10 years ago.
it was a whole branch that has lost their jobs. good luck hun, im praying for you.

B-Bat we've worked with a few people that open companies with their retrenchment packages, and if it makes you feel any better, they USUALLY retrench the newest people first because they have to pay out less for the retrenchments!

@Haze, this is the third retrenchment he has had to go through the first one he was retrenched (after about 10 years at the bank) the second one they said he was going to be but then he got a position in another department and now he's sitting at 57 so they may just retrench him due to his age.
Still waiting to hear from dad or hubby.

Thanks ladies, BIL is fine and from what we've heard FIL is safe as well. There is a small chance of things changing but all looks good.

Haven't heard anything from anyone else we knew so we are currently going with no news is good news.
