Unable to send Private Messages

Hi, I have been trying to send a PM since yesterday, but it just goes to my outbox and does not appear in my "Sent Items"
I don't think it actually went through. Please Help?

Elana it will sit in your outbox until the other person opens it on their side then it will show as sent.
