What would you do if you found out you were pregnant agian with more twins

When Josh was in hospital there was a boy in the bed next to him, (he burnt) and his mom was telling the rest of the mom's in the ward the next morning about her struggles to conceive him etc. Ag you know, we talk.

Anyway, the conversation led to this:

She told us about one of her friends. The couple had struggled for YEARS to fall pregnant and finally went the surrogate route. The surrogate is pregnant with twins (due now in November sometime) a month or what not later, she, by all miracles fell pregnant herself and she is expecting TRIPS in January of 2011.

5 babies in a matter of 2 months, I would LOOSE it!!!

Just think about the financial implication to look after them, feed them and nappies - I would die!!! for sure

We seriously need to pray for her - poor lady

But i must say this 18 month phase is amazing, they come up with the cutest things every day and at least 3 new words (that i can make out) every day! They now absorb like sponges in the trues sense of the word.

But back to the topic..... i would love to have more kids.... but hubby is not so keen....he feels 2 is enough, but i would love to have another one.

Having twins again would not bother me at all ( that is the only way i know so would be the same as a singleton mom expecting another singleton)
But financially i think it would definitely be a challenge - i would be able to make it work... but hubby is tooo rational and would feel he can not provide abundantly for all 4!

My twins were conceived via IVF, so the chances of having twins again is low.... but on the other hand my age is also playiing a huge role now which can increase the chances .... so one never knows....

At the moment i am enjoying my 2 girls and try to stop the clock because they are growing so quickly and i might never have the chance to experience these phases again.

Wow Monz that is quite scarey.

Hubby works with a guy who is one of a twin, his mom then fell pregnant and had a second set of twins on the first set of twins birthday and then later fell pregnant with a third set of twins (different birthday though) but unfortunately lost the one twin. The kids are all adults now and they recently found out the mom has a third kidney.

I think in some ways that it would be easier because then it's one birthday party for 4 kids on the same day but that can also cause issues in their own way.

I have a cousin who keeps saying she thinks I'll have trips (no family history of twins or trips) so I told her the day I find out that I am pregnant with trips she will be moving in :-)

I always say, two is better than none, but one is better than two. Having had a singleton and twins, there is just no comparison. I would have so loved having my twinnies one by one, everything is so much easier and better, from the pregnancy to NOT spending time in the NICU, to bonding, attention to each child, ect ect ect. I love them so, but one at a time is really the ideal.

B-Bat, tell your cousin to be careful what she wishes for you as it may happen to her.

Here is my story, my best friends from way back when, wife was a twin, husband had twins in the family and so when I heard that she was pregnant and wished them twins... to find out four months later that I was pregnant and it was TWINS!!!

hahahah - a case of be careful of what you wish for.

Her 1st: The boy died at 7 months and the girl survived
Her 2nd: Both died at 5 months
Her 3rd: She carried full term nd both boy & girl survived.
