anxious - 14 weeks pregnant
Hi everyone! Im new to this wonderful website and was hoping to get some encouragement and advise...
About 5 years ago I had extensive colon surgery which left me with allot of discomfort, pain and large doctors bills not to mention employers frowning on my circumstances. I never thought I would be able to fall pregnant but here I am, 14 weeks pregnant
The problem is Im so stressed out because Im get all these terrible aches and pains that make we worry that I might loose my baby. I never had these pains with my first baby so everything worries me. To top it all off my hubby once mentioned that if something should happen to the baby he would be upset with me because I stress to much but he adds to my stress because his lazy and doesn't help out much with chores. He just sit infront of the telly all the time and doesn't seem to understand my irratic moods and fatigue. I've also developed high blood pressure, swollen feet and problems with walking. I just dont know how Im going to cope with all these worries for another 5 months! Can someone please help me.....

Hey Bails,

Why don't you post the same post to the Preggo Lounge's introduction place, I think it's called Introduce you & your bellies...
You will enjoy it here!!

Hi Bails
Congratulations on your pregnancy and welcome to this amazing site.
I think that worry and stress are things that every pregnant woman experiences no matter what the circumstances are and I think the secret here is how you manage the stress.
I am sure that this site will help you a lot as there are a lot of woman in the same boat as you.
As for your husband.... I have no idea what your relationship is like but I think you are going to have to communicate with him and get him to realise that this pregnancy thing is hard work and that he really does have to help. Maybe get him involved in reading pregnancy books with you in the evening as a "couple" activity so that he can learn what you are going through etc and how tiring it actually is.
I hope that the girls on this site can support and encourage you through the next 5 months.
