Am I mad? one more baby
My DH and I at first said we would talk and think about it later (havign one more that is) but since last year my DH tells everyone who asks (yes they still ask after twins). No more never.
This is stressing me (I am having nightmares about falling pregnant by mistake and him mad at me) and making me sad. I dont want another right now, the boys are still such babies and finances wise too expensive. But somehow never is so final. I like to say I am still thinking about it.
but am I over reacting? There are so many things I want to do with my boys that having another will take from them. and Honestly I dont think I could cope with this again. but I need to belive the options are still open. Or am I just mad to want one more ???
Perhaps I am like those people who dont want to grow up and expierience the next thing they are too stuck on the first part. Will I miss out on things with my boys If I have one more??? Maybe I will be the granny who wears miniskirts?? just so confused as to why I need the option available of one more?

Re: Am I mad? one more baby
besides that your DH knows how babies are made, and if he's an eager participant in the baby making act well then he has no right to be mad

Re: Am I mad? one more baby
Well, the positive is, if you imagine the worst, it will be soooo much better when it becomes a reality!!!

Re: Am I mad? one more baby
Well I wanted one more after the twins even though I already had 3 (no more though), so I think it is definitely normal for you! Having 3 is very nice in the sense that the twins aren't always just 'the twins' if you know what I mean - sometimes one plays with D and sometimes the other one, so they have a more balanced life perhaps?
Plus, and this I can say without a doubt, having one baby is an absolute blessing in the amount of time you have with the baby. Having twins is very hard work, having one baby is a jol. (Sorry singleton moms, even a difficult colicy baby is easier than having 2 of them), so you will love having all the time with the one little one (considering the fact that your boys will be older and easier then).

Re: Am I mad? one more baby
Ja well school fees, that is another matter!
Still deciding Kerry. We are registering our degrees there but it is a lengthy not to mention costly process (we have to send certified copies of everything there then they verify it with the universities, and we can only certify at the Canadian Embassy). Then we will probably go over and see. It will depend a lot on how it is there, and how hubby's practice is going here - well at the moment but we are worried about the NHI thing. So ja, in the process but nothing definite yet.

the boys are still young and still take all of your focus and energy but I think once they are older and more indipendant you may feel like another is something you want.. I also think it's very final and you are still young and need the options availbale to you

Re: Am I mad? one more baby
Hi Kerry, i think i feel a lot the same as you..... to a certain extent.
I had a gorgeous pregnancy and loved every bit of it, and would not mind having another 1 (or 2)... haha
Reality is:
*Hubby knows i wouldnt mind more....
*If i speak to hubby personally he would say that 2 is enough to be able to provide for and ensure a good school and varsity one day (and him being the realist... he would say 2 fits nicely into a car
)
*And if people ask, my hubby also give this grin and say... dont think so now....
*Chances of ever falling preggos again for us is almost zero percent. (taking my history of very early menopause, ttcing for 6 years)
I am not on any contraceptive.... havent been since the girls were born.... and i also think my hubby would not be to ecstatic to hear about another bread in the oven.....
Personally i say to everyone... i wouldnt mind another one... and if the Lord thinks that i would be able to provide for another one he would send me another one!

Re: Am I mad? one more baby
Well, all i can say is that you are very brave, but i know how you feel. Sometimes i also want another child, but in reality, i know that we will just not be able to afford it. When you think back on the scan and being pregnant, it certainly was an exciting time, and twins are hard work, even with all their cuteness. I think that you just want your options open.
