Bond between twins

Post by Guest on Fri 4 Feb 2011 - 12:50

The girls' teacher tells me the girls never play with each other at school, they don't even sit together specifically and have different friends. Which is fine with me because I don't want them to be interdependent.

However, the other day, for some unrelated reason, I took Olivia with me in the car, and Rachel went with her daddy, when we went home from school. Olivia went ballistic!! She screamed all the way home for 'yachel', until she could see her sister again. Then all was well. So clearly, although they are quite independent, they have a bond that is very very strong, and even when it looks like they are not attached at the hip, in some way they are!

I think my boys are similar. They play separately but are lost without the other. Connor went to school on his own the otherday and the teacher said he looked for his brother all day.

ag cute man! I'm sure that even if they dont' have a physical bond that there is always going to be some kind of "spiritual" (not sure if thats the right word) bond

With mine they play together at school, kiss one another "good night" when they take their afternoon nap, they need to be around each other and share everything.

Not because we tought them that but I really thing the fact that they were in one sac for 7 odd months make the big difference

Mine tend to do their own thing but if the one is upset about something the other one will always show concern and offer sympathy!

yes, mine are the same, can play quite independantly but when you give one a treat or foot or colddrink, she immediately wants to know where is "sissy'" cookie - and it goes for both.
The first thing when they wake up is not where is mommy and daddy, but where is sissy!

Mine also consoles each other - its super cute!

Mine can fight like crazy but will also console the other one if he or she is crying. They will kiss each other seconds after fighting. If you ta Wade a cookie he will first give one to his sister (but not always). There is definitely a special bond between twins.

they are lucky, A lot of people tell me they would love twins (I always tell them no you don't) but I think it is beacuse having twins is the next best thing to being twins. And you get so much attention

My boys are the same.... they do not like to be in seperate cars, it freaks them out. But then they are quite happy to have individual time with me.
