Don't knowwhen I can test

Hi all. I had a d&c on the 25th of June after my baby died at 14 weeks due to me contracting Bacterial manengitis. I have been spotting now and then, but I did a HPT on the 2nd of June to check if my levels are down, and it was negative. I was hoping to fall pregnant right away, but did a test on the 5th, 6th and 9th of July (yes a bit over the top I know) all were negative. I still have not had my period and it is nearly 5 weeks after my d&c. I so badly want to know what is happening - but no idea when ovulation was or when I am going to have my period and when I can test. To scared to test again and have another negative.

HI!! Welcome & sorry about your loss!! xxxx it can take a while for things to get back to normal hormones to settle, took 8weeks for my first AF after D&C to arrive!xx

The doc said levels are down and AF should return soon, but it should have arrived already and nothing. Tested on 28th but another BFN

it took my period 8 weeks to come back after my d&C and i was about 11 weeks pregnant. i would take a break this cycle and try next month. let your body heal first. sorry for your loss.

I've never been preggers before so I can't give advice on when to expect AF again.
Trust me that's not over the top, I'm sure many of us could share stories of doing many, many tests over a short period of time.
Hope things sort themselves out real soon and that you get your BFP

Welcome to the forum.
I agree with Nix about giving your body time. After my D&C my period didn't come back for 3 months so I went to the dr and with a little help from Provera we brought it on.
