Noobi Newby needs help!

Hi Ladies
My husband and I are planning on adoption as soon as the new year starts. I’ve been browsing around and gathering information on where to go, what to do... but I might just be confusing myself here.
Any information on where to start will be appreciated. We have contacted a private adoption centre and they told us that they can not help us in the next 5 – 10 years for same-race-adoption.
Just very confused and emotional at the moment.
