New Surro-mommy

Hi everyone..

My name is Shelly.. I am a 33 year old mommy and have two little ones, Gabbi and Malachi.



In 2007 I had my first IVF as a surro-mommy which I sadly miscarried at 6 weeks. I have had two cancelled cycles since then as they could not harvest my IM (intended mothers) eggs and when they could they did not fertilise. My IP's (intended parents) and I have just "called in quits" (at the end of Jan) as her AMH is too low and she is not producing eggies that make embies. She does not want to use donor eggies. It has been a long two year journey with her.

So in theory you could say that I have been TTC for someone else for the last two years!!

I have recently registered with a surrogacy agency and I am hoping to find a couple rather soon as I would love to complete a journey completely and see the joy on the IP's faces when their LO or LO's are born.

This week has not been a good week for me at all.. on Friday evening I lost my BEST friend in a car accident! :pale: I will be flying up to JHB tomorrow for her funeral on Friday and will be returning on Saturday. So, if I do not return your replies ASAP, please be patient.. I wont be around a PC for a while..

Checked out your blog.. were you also on the other forum? If memory serves me correctly, you had a "tooth" problem at one stage?? Could be wrong?

That's me!!! I wanted to know if one could have anaesthetic for fillings while in the 2ww! ;) I was there but the same thing happened to me that happened to some of the girls there recently

Did you struggle to fall preggies with your 2 children?
When you get back will you please PM me?? I would like to know more about why you would like to be a surrogate mom?? I have thought about it so often, because I can't imagine how hard it is for ppl who TTC for ages & then nothing happens... I read about donating one's eggs, & thought I could do that one day But thought it would be quite hard to be a surrogate mom??
