Hi All

Post by Zee on Tue 19 Aug 2008 - 9:01

I have been TTC for the past 8 months and have shed so many tears already. Bawl Eyes Out It can be so heart breaking.

Have been to the Gynae a few times and was suppose to go for a Laparoscopy in June to rule out any infertility problems I might have as he suspects endometriosis or blocked tubes, but my medical aid wont cover until November.
Which means all I can do is wait for now. :Wait

Ive tried to stop thinking about TTC until after the op but as you all know, its VERY difficult.

Has anybody been for a laparoscopy or know of anyone who has successfully fallen preggies after the op. I've read endometriosis is quite common and a common cause of infertility and the only way to successfully remove any scar tissue is through the op.

:Anyone??:

:Hello: Zee!

Welcomegroup

Bear love

I had a Lap in April 2007 - and then went on Yasmin for three months... The very first time after that when I TTced - it was a BFP!!!. I have two other girlfriends who also fell pregnant the very month after their lap... So a lap really does help to get the insides "clean" and ready!!

Go luck in your journey - Im sure you will be blessed! :angelpray1:

Welcomegroup

I am sure you will find all the information on this site, the ladies here are wonderful Group Hug

Lotsa babydust and hope you have your BFP soon.

I understand the whole medical aid situation, I just hate it. I had a cyst on my ovary and they wanted me to wait as well, but all worked out in the end. It will for you too.

Hi Zee,

If you gynae suspect problems, there is a lot of tests that can still be done before a lap is needed, such as an HSG X-ray, which can determine whether your tubes are open or not. A lap will further not necessarily mean you are ready to conceive or more fertile. I would suggest that if you suspect any infertility problem to go and see a FS. They charge basically the same and less time will be wasted, but it is your choice.

Further, when the lap is done - do they use lazer or not. When it is lazered, then the endo normally returns, where if they cut it out, it normally stays away.

Good luck!
