10th time lucky!
Thought I'd share too..
Pregnancy #1: I was previously diagnosed with polycystic ovaries, so we headed straigth for the gynae when we decided to start TTC'ing. One cycle on Clomid with Pravasi trigger and BFP! No mess no fuss. Peaceful pregnancy, lovely c/section, beautiful daughter!
Pregnancy #2: We decided to start TTC'ing before miss D was even 1, because we wanted small gaps between our kids. So back to the gynae: start cycling with Clomid + Ovidrel triggers. 6 X BFN! We had moved from Pretoria to Juburg in the meantime, so I had to switch gynaes, and my new dr recommended a PCT
Worst thing ever! And to make it worse, it turns out, we migth have a sperm problem too. So, hubby had a spermogram:
2% normal morphology!!
So we moved on to IUI: BFN!
We only did one, as it really was never going to work with our combined problems.
So we moved on to IVF (all without a break, back-2-back cycles!).
First IVF: awful, I overreacted to the stims, we only got immature eggies, bad fertilization, poor development of 1 embryo = BFN!
Second IVF: perfect, I responded well to an amended protocol, we got 5 perfect eggies, 3 perfect embryos and, BFP!
And to top it, twin baby girls!
So whilst #1 was fairly easy, #2 proved more of a challenge, but we got there in the end!
Good luck to all TTC'ers!
