NEXT WEEK...

Is a very important week for us as a family!

2 June - we flew to JHB to fetch our babe
3 June - we spent the day in orientation chatting about adoption with the social worker and hearing from SO many people what a gorgeous little girl we have (we hadn't met her yet)
4 June - 10am: we met our precious child and held her for the first time (she fell asleep)!

DH and I are taking the day off on the 4 June and we are keeping Hannah out of school. We are going to take her to a little touch farm and out for lunch. I have to attend a work function that evening, so we won't be able to do a family dinner

I can't believe that a year has passed and I honestly thank God daily for blessing us with this precious precious little miracle

Thanks ladies - we call it our fammaversary!

Through our orientation we met an adopted lady and she said, if she could go back and change things, she would ask her adoptive parents to make a fuss of the day they became a family!

Since then we've decided to make it a special day - from now onwards...her birthday is in August so it's nicely spaced out.

A dear friend of mine bought Hannah a gorgeous old fashioned teddy for her welcome baby party. She had a little vest embroidered with her name and date of birth. We are buying teddy a sister and having a vest made with Henman family and our fammaversary on it!
