Please introduce yourselves and add your twin story here!

Hi! My name is Paula, I am 32, from Johannesburg. My g/g twins are 4.5 months old, born 13 Jan '09 at 34 weeks (due to PROM). They spent 3 weeks in NICU bit we have had no health problems since. Their birth weights were 1.85ks and 2.2kgs. Both babies breathed well at birth, however O needed CPAP for 2 days as she aspirated amniotic fluid during the c/section.

I'm Lipa, 32 years old from East London. My b/g twins are 4.5 months old, born 09 Jan '09 at 33 weeks. They stayed at the NICU for 2 weeks. Their birth weights were 2,1kg and 2,2 kgs.

Hi I am Melanie 27 years old from Pretoria. My g/g are identical twins and 11weeks old, born 12 March 2009 at 34 weeks due to high blood preasure. They stayed in NICU for 15 days, breathed on their own when born and no monitors needed. They had great apgar readings of 8/10 and 9/10 both of them weighting 2.050kg and 2.115kg at birth. Very healthy born!

Hi, I am 35yrs old and my boys are now 7mnths old. They were conceived through ivf and i could not have asked God for two more perfect kids. They were born at 32wks and the 1 stayed for just 1 extra nite and then i had both my boys home with me.

I am 33 yrs and live in Johannesburg mt b/b twins were born on 15/04/09 5 weeks prem due to an incompetent cervix (despite the stitch). they were 2.2 and 2.3kg. C spent two weeks in high care as he was breathing fine but had juandice and that stoped him eating, K spent 4 weeks in high care he could not suck well. Although I do think they were overly cautious and the boys could have come home sooner.
I have had them both home 3 weeks now and it is hectic but everyone assures me it gets better.

I am a single parent and has artifical insemination using a donor.

My twins were born at 37 weeks (non - identical) via c-section.

My son, Wade weighed 2.5kg and my daughter, Erin 1.880kg. Both stayed behind in high care for two weeks due to low birth weights. They first started tube feeding and Erin needed to weigh 2kg before before being allowed to come home.

They are progressing so well, lifting their heads, rolling onto their sides and are very alert. They also know my voice.

My name is Joleen, I am 35 years old and reside in PE.

I am Page, 36 from Pretoria, and mom to g/g twins, they were born on 38 weeks (yes, that can be done!!) and weighed a whopping 2, 4 an 2,7 kg's at birth.
They came home with me and are now 6 and half months old (born on 14 April 2009)

I'm Tracey and have g/g fraternal twins born at 35 weeks. Claudia weighed 2325g and Halle weighed 2355g at birth. Both are gaining well and are now 5 months old. We live iin Estcourt and I am very happy to be able to chat with other twin mommies.

My name is Suzanne & I've been meaning to register for ages but no time! I have b/b twins born @ 32+ weeks due to prem labour. They were 2.08 & 1.44kg @ birth & had to spend 7 & 6 weeks in NICU/high care repectively. They are now home with me & keeping me very busy!
I'm looking forward to gaining lots of knowledge from other twin moms!
