Re: Introduce yourself and your twins
Hi there
I am Candice, single mom to identical boys, born 35 weeks. They were 2.1kg and 1.8kg at birth and never spent anytime in NICU, they came home two days after me. Grant (the smaller one) gave me a bit of a scare as he was not picking up weight but they let him come home uder 2kg's as I had LOTS of milk and told them that I would bring him back if the need arised. Jason (the bigger monkey) was actually discharged at the same time as me but I took the decision to leave them together, for strength
They turned two in October, and they have a big brother Dylan who will be four soon!
One of my friends told me about this site and said that she has got support from all of you twin moms, right now I really need support as I am just not managing, so it is great to know that I am not alone in the twin world, although I know this, it is nice to chat to people who really know what it is like to have and raise twins.

Re: Introduce yourself and your twins
Hi Candice
Welcome to this wonderful forum. I have gained so much support from it - especially all the twin moms. Hopefully you can teach us a thing or two as well - seeing as your twins are 2 years old. I really admire you raising 3 children on your own.

Re: Introduce yourself and your twins
My twin girls (Kelsey and Cailyn) will be turning 2 on the 2nd of April and my son (Kieran) will be 4 on 1st August.
My twins were 7 and a bit weeks prem, Kelsey was 1.8kg (spent 4 weeks in NICU) and Cailyn was 1.6kg (spent 5 weeks in NICU). They have both been in and out of hospital in paeds since then (between them 12 times in the first year and 8 times in the second year), but it is definitely getting better as they are getting bit older. Kelsey is now 11.5kg and Cailyn is 9.7kg.
They are delightful ... and just so much fun at the age they are now.
I am also a twin and my husband has a set of twin sisters too :-)
Cheers
Tam.

Introduce yourself and your twins
Hi Ladies
I am new to the forum and would liek to introduce myself.
My name is Christine, I am currently pregnant with triplets, living in JHB. We were very shocked when we found out the news, but we are very excited....
Its nice to find a site where there are so many ladies who can familiarise themselves with twins, obstacles, joys and advice.
Hope everyone has a wonderful evening
