Twin Stroller

Post by Lipa on Thu 18 Jun 2009 - 12:56

i bought a peg perego stroller online on the baby & company website. The problem is that the stroller is too big, it doesn't fit in my small toyota runx boot. Now i am looking at getting a bigger car. If you have not bought a pram just make sure it fits in your car. Any ideas on the car ?

DO you really want a bigger car, why not by a smaller pram?

We have a T5 Kombi and works wonderful with the twins and if my parents or parents in law wants to drive with us. Any other car is too small for people with twins!

Hi Lipa
We went out and bought a new car too when we found out I was pregnant with twins. We have miss D too of course. I have a Honda FRV. I did a lot of research and that came up as the best. Not too pricey, huge boot and it has 3 seats in front and 3 seats in back. There is enough space in the back for 2 carriers and miss D's car seat, and in front space for me, hubby and another grown-up. Perhaps look into it? it also hasn't given us a moment's problems. Oh and my Graco twin stroller fits into the boot, as does both my Quinnies when we decide to take them instead!

Hi Paula

I have checked the Honda FRV, it really is a nice car, unfortunately Hubby doesn't like the fact that it has three sits infront, he says that space is for me and him and no one else. What do you think about the Merc. B class and the Toyota Verso.

They both seem nice, we also considered the verso, I think the B class may be small though. Re the FRV the middle front seat folds down, so it is down most of the time. We only put it up when someone like my mom goes out to eat with us ect. We also looked at the Nissan Grand Lavina but didn't like the quality, the other option is the Mazda 5, I love the slide-open doors. The Chrysler grand voyager is too big for me, and the boot is tiny. Oh that is also the problem with the B class and the verso, little boot space!

We bought a Toyota Verso when I found out I was pregnant with twins - what a excellent car!

Even now that its only me and DH, I would not trade my car for a smaller one! It has all the luxuries of the bigger cars, and loads of space!

I also have the Toyota Verso and am happy with it. It's much more bulky and cumbersome after my other car but has loads of space. Two seats in the front. Three in the back and a huge boot that can be altered whereby you put down 3 more seats - effectively seating 7! I got mine at a really reasonable price with only 25,000 km on the clock.

I had a Polo so it took a while to get used to the big car! But I won't swop it for anything!

We also bought the Verso about 2 months ago. We are very happy with it. There will be more than enough space for T and his new brother and sister when they arrive. Our double pram also fits easily in the boot. Must say I won't be able to drive a smaller car again, and T also loves his new big car!

Lipa the Verso is a very nice car, I love it and the Mazda 5 is also not to bad and I know the prams will fit into the boot.

I just know that my hubby don't like the verso because we love camping and will not be able to take the caravan with - verso only comes in a 1.8l so a bit small for that.

My friend works for Toyota if you need someone to call you and help you with the vehicle and finance
