fathers day gift ideas

Post by kandis on Fri 19 Jun 2009 - 10:40

Morning Mummys
Ok so some of you know that i was a pre-school teacher
and i just thought that i would share with you some of the fun things that i used to do with the baby class for fathers day
1) take a smooth flat stone- paint it and use paint to make a hand/footprint from baby for daddy to use as a paper weight
2) other varieations is to take either plaster paris/clay make a flattish shape and do an imprint of baby's foot or hand
3) make cookies, cut or roll out large circular cookies on a baking sheet and just before u bake it, press baby's hand or foot onto the cookie (thats why they should be big) and VOILA his own personalized cookies with baby's imprint

hope this helps some of you- these are nice gifts to give grad daddies too from their grandchildren

PS- the best paint to use if you are going to be painting- is those little plastic tubs of poster paints that u get, they come off really easily and are non toxic
