Introducing Kayla Bayley Shaw
Well girls all I can tell you is that this whole experience was nothing like what I imagined.
I was nervous as hell, DH and I did not sleep a wink the night before, the theatre was delayed so I only went in at about 10h00. The spinal worked first time, my BP dropped very low so I felt a bit ill but all went well. It was all over so quickly. It was so unreal when I got to hold my baby girl. She was born at 10h30, weighing 3.28kg, 50cm tall and perfect in evcery single way. e decided to name her Kayla Bayley Shaw.
The worst part of the whole CS was having the drip put in and getting up to walk for the first time other than that I can tell you is it was a breeze. I tried to breast feed but ladies it's not easy and with my breat reduction they were topping her up with formula. They had to flush her tummy of amniotic fluid on the 2nd day as she was very nauseas and vomiting alot, shame! After that she was ok. I decided not to carry on with the breast as the pressue was making us both very up tight. Once I made that decision we both settled very well. On Friday morning they brought her to me at 4am crying and I bottle fed her with my bottles and I tell you that was the moment I realised I was in love and she was mine. Up to that point I did love her but the whole idea never really hit home. The hospital was just so hectic and I never got time to really bond and enjoy her. But Friday monring I fell in love and that was that!
Baby blues set in around day 2 beacuse of the breast feeding and I was fine then all teary!
Our first night home was hell. She screamed all night as she was cramping and we could not do anything to calm her down, so we never slept. I called maternity and they said to give her Buscopan which we did and it seemed to help.
Last night we put her in her pram in the room with us and the getting up and down was really killing me and we managed to sleep lekker.
I am so in love with my baby girl.

ah thats lovely!
Try telement drops - we used it on Damion and it worked really well - you just put a few drops in their bottle and they literally wind themselves!
