Twin prams
Hello Twin Mommies.
We want to buy our twin pram soon but I first need your input please. Which pram did you buy and are you happy with it?
I am looking at a side by side pram that can fully recline and manage easily. Your help would be greatly appreciated.
Decisions decisions
Thank you.

Re: Twin prams
Hey Zel, I am not a twin mommy, but my hairdresser is, and they got a peg side by side pram - very nice, but with tiny wheels that get stuck on everything and its a constant battle with going through doors. App its very hard to fine a pram for twins that are back to back..

Re: Twin prams
Hi there
We have a pram graveyard in our garage...
Started with the Graco DuoRider, actually very nice, side-by-side, fully reclines, very sturdy. Great for outdoors. But, a bit wide so it can't really go through doors without bit of a struggle.
Then we got the Maclaren twin truimph, very nice, not as wide, goes through doors without a stuggle, folds up really small, but doesn't fully recline so not suitable from birth.
I think the Peg doesn't fully recline either.
We also have 2 separate Quiny prams, which fit our Maxi Cozi carriers, We use them when we both go out and is much less hassle, getting them in and out of the car.
I don't know the City.
The other option is the Jane, but it is heavy, very expensive and big.
BTW if I can offer one bit of advice, get bases for the car seat/carriers, so you only have to clip them in each time, strapping both in is very tedious!
Good luck!

Hi Zellie
I have the double City mini and I am very happy with it. It fits through most doors but it is not small. It reclines fully. v easy to open and to fold away. Fits into the boot of my Honda Jazz with space for shopping. It has big double wheels so it goes over any terain and is verry easy to push and steer with one hand as often I am carrying one and pushing the other. It is also light the same weight as the Maclaren which is the next best option but it does not lie flat and has small wheels.
I must admit though sometimes I need just a single pram when I am only taking one out. Also we often find they are more settled when we just carry them in thier cango pouches. But when they get too heavy I am sure we will use the pram more.
Definitely go to baby city and Toys R US and try pushing and folding all the twin prams you will see what suits you. I looked at the Jane but R15 000 was just too much.
OK more than enough info

Re: Twin prams
Hi
Thank you ladies. I can see we are going to have a bit of a struggle to find the right pram.
We'll just have to go and test some of them. Argh, and it's a mission to get hubby to the shops.
I am so excited to start shopping for the big stuff ... plus very anxious. I am so scared I buy 2 of everything and then something goes wrong with one or both my babies. But I think I feel a lot more optimistic at this point than a few weeks ago.
Have a lovely day and thank you again.

Hi Zellie
I know that you are worried about something going wrong and I did follow your heartbreak on FC but remember that you need to stay possitive and beleive that nothing will go wrong. The Lord will look after you and your little girls!!!
We have a chelino side by side pram and can convert into a stroller at a later stage and it is a lovely pram. Struggle to get through a single door put I use it alot in the house and I must say that if we leave at home to go to the shops and they are asleep I leave them in their car seat and put them in a trolley and don't even put them in their pram. If I go alone I put both in one trolley but I don't really go alone to the shops. We bought ours from Baby city and was not expensive at all.
Good luck withe the shopping and I hope you find a pram that you like. Pls let us know if you found something
